'I believe that said repair station manufacturer (in OK) lost it's FAA cert
last year-? Not sure if another shop would want to work on it either.

'All,

Don't think that is a true story. He had some issues with the FAA and Fed Court. As in the recent past that was being worked out. He is currently making progress on a customers 24R46.

Re: [Fairchild club] Falcon prop information

Post by ranger440c5 »

'Could some one explain how a "Falcon" propeller is mounted on F24R46?
Lets assume it meets TC #A-706. I would assume as he holds no TC
approval(as of Tdata 2006-20) that it gets done by the "gray area" on
A-706 under item #109....

"109. Propeller - wood (any fixed pitch wood propeller eligible
for the engine rpm and power, and which meet the diameter
and static rpm limits specified)"

In which case how does one prove the prop meets the power capacity of
the installation? If it were built to the TC it is approved, but as
he holds no current TC approval, how does one know it is built to the
TC? The static RPM and diameter limits are obvious enough but how
does one prove a propeller built to unknown standards is "eligible
for the engine rpm and power" without exhaustive, complicated, and
lengthy testing? Sounds ticklish......
