'Having recently purchased a Fairchild 24R46,
I find myself more than a bit confused
about fuels and additives.
The previous owner is an AP/IA, and has
overhauled five Ranger engines during his
life-time. That's five more than I've
overhauled. He religiously adds TCP to
100LL, and MMO to the engine oil. Without
stepping on anybody's toes, Can I get
some input on this, opinions are all I ask.
Naturally I want my investment in this fine
old airship to last as long as possible.

Re: TCP
'Tom,
What you are doing will work fine. Also keep the leaning to a minimum. Fuel
is cheap compared to a top overhaul. The extra fuel helps keep the cylinder
temps lower. I don't even lean here at 7050 feet MSL.
