'I am, at last, getting close to moving my airplane from the shed it
has been in for the last three years (and a shed that should have
been condemned about thirty years ago!) to the local airfield for
final assembly, engine runs and, wait for it. . . . .FLIGHT.
I have most of what I need to get it complete now except an air
filter and an oil connector.
I spoke to Brackett Air Filters and they do the filters for the air
maze box but not the one I need. U have the part 7721 hot air box on
the Warner and this has a 2 3/16in by 3 in aperture that appears to
take a filter as found on things like Cessna 172s, the sort that
slots into a holder on the front. Does anyone have a source for these?
Also I am in need of the small fitting that bolts onto the oil pump
and connects to the line down to the sump. I have a photo of the pump
if anyone needs to see.
I have just got back from painting in the cheat lines. Lots of guess
work (I have to put on a great big UK registration in the middle
which makes getting the cheat lines to look right a little more
difficult) but the first stage is now done. I have to remask and
spray a gold outer line all around what I have done today.
Just oil pressure and mag leads (Savage magnetos) to fit and the
panel can be zipped up. A few connections on the motor and a lot of
cowling work but that is all in hand.

'Melvyn, how about posting some pictures of your Rearwin to the club
files section. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see it.
Sorry, can't help with the bracket or oil fitting....
