Thanks for your advice Joe! I already spent the bucks at a Houston shop with marginal results.
I'll chat with Keystone and compare expected results. Maybe a newer replacement altimeter with the Logo is my best option.

Group, I've got an inaccurate altimeter in my '40 F24, N28685. Instrument shop was not able to improve. Any available gauges, preferably with Fairchild logo?

After. Parts were in great shape prior. Fluid was funky brown, but worked (hygroscopic contam).
Advantage is DOT 5 won't strip/discolor your paint from drips/spills, etc. NOTE that if DOT 5 contaminates the pads,
kiss them off. No amount of solvent flush will recover their braking efficiency ...

Steve, I'm running DOT 5 in my Hayes setup. However, the moisture contamination you mentioned below is real. I experienced severe corrosion at the bleeder nipples, to the point they wouldn't seal. Ultimately had to replace the entire block and nipple. Beyond that, both master cylinder bores were ...
