loss of compression may happen as the valve may have been damage when touching the piston and then not seating well on the valveseat!

with broken spring, the valve may loose totaly its sleeves and cups, and be thrown into the ...

It may be possible to re-seat averything to make it work properly? no?

'Frank, don't forget, that under "permit to fly", you may have to pay taxes in order to fly abroad, and you'll get limited pass of 28 days to travel over foreign countries.

And moreover if one day you want to sell your plane to somebody from another country this may be a blocking situation ...
