Re: Fairchild 24 cruise speeds
'My F24R46A with 200 HP Ranger and Sensenich fixed pitch prop sees 115 mph as top cruise speed. The prop is one or two degrees in favor of climb as opposed to a straight cruise prop. Don't remember the exact pitch but could check. Comfortable plane. Any headwind knocks the numbers down right away. T...

Re: Looking for fellow Fairchild Member/Owner
'Jamie: While it is possible he ultimately moved to Concrete (and may be there) there was also some reference to his still being in Falmouth, MA for a while after the supposed move to WA. Don't know for sure but he used to be pretty close to the guys at North Canaan, CT airport...I think the group o...

Re: 19, 23, 26 Pitot Tube on Ebay
'Hey Guys. It is NOT mine nor anyone I know but I just spotted a pitot tube on ebay under the fairchild listings. It has a starting price of $100 and a buy-it-now price of $300. I just recall that some guys have been advertising in the want ads of the Flyer that they are looking for one. Steve Korta...

Re: Engine for Old Rhinebeck - Questions
'You know, I've heard the rumors too. But I also saw a lot of people pouring their hearts out to get the aircraft and facilities ready for this weekends opening airshow. It is clear that the old gang did a lot to build the place up. And, maybe the new group is doing it in a different way, but, in th...

Re: Engine for Old Rhinebeck - Questions
'Had a great opportunity to see Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck, NY last Saturday. They have a very nice '37 Model 24 / C8F that needs an engine. Their info says that it had a 150 HP Ranger 6-390-D3 in it from the factory. I have a 200 HP Ranger runout that I am willing to give them (they know ...

Re: Ignition Harness
'Thank you, too, Mike in Oregon, for the input. The entire issue started precisely with our chasing radio noise. Everything except the harness has been ruled out. And we seem to have found the bad lead. Thanks. Steve -----Original Message----- From: Mike Danielle To: fairchildclub@yahoogroups.com Se...
