F24 Master Brake Cylinders!!!!
'Hello all! The braking system on my 1940 Fairchild 24 has been giving me trouble. Having rebuild everything from the bottom up, I've narrowed the problem to the master cylinders. They are original, I tried rebuilding them with the MK 33 kit from Napa, but it has not solved the problem. What's worse ...

Re: Ranger Engine Parameters
'Mike,
Sorry I can't help you there; the engine was rebuilt back in the 1970s and crated... We just checked it out - everything is normal... I'd have to go through the stacks of paperwork to figure out who did the overhaul and when

Re: Ranger Engine Parameters
'Hello!
The engine has about 150 hours SMOH, so its well broken in. Oil pressure at cruise is right around 50, higher at takeoff, lower at idle.

Re: Ranger Engine Parameters
'Jack,
Thanks for the info. From what I've gathered everything is running as it should. I've hit 190 oil temp while doing touch-and-gos, and really working the engine... It drops at cruise.
Thanks again,
-Dan

Ranger Engine Parameters
'I JUST completed a restoration on my 1939 Fairchild 24. It has a Ranger engine.
Everything seems to run perfectly; I've got about 5 hours ground time on the engine, and have flown it about 2 hours. Oil consumption is nil, and it hasn't missed a beat.
Just wondering, the oil temp is consistent ...

'Bob,
Thank you for your help. I somehow cut cut off a the end of the post, sorry to leave a note anonymously. Since leaving the message I was basically told the same thing about switching to rubber, so it sounds like some a/n fittings is the route to go.
Again, thank you for the advice,

'Hello all!
I am working on my 1939 Fairchild 24R, and have run into three issues that I cannot seem to resolve. Wondering if someone could help??!
1) Fuel Lines. The original fuel lines are steel, and have been spliced MULTIPLE times - two splices per line, just to the fuselage. I would ...

Parts for a 1939 Fairchild 24 Ranger
'I recently bought a 1939 Fairchild 24, with the Ranger engine. Although the plane was recently recovered, it has sat for a few years and needs some work done to it before it can fly again. I am looking for some parts, and was wondering if maybe someone could help point me in the right direction ...
