'Hi Fairchild forum.

I am asking advise about my problem FA 24 gears.

I have found cracks in the aft attachment points
when performing my annual. I follow the AD calling
for inspections.



Do anybody have a suggestion how repair the legs..
I can se rust inside the leg aft corner ...

I am doing a top overhaul on my warner 165.
Lifting the #7 cylinder I found the piston to be
cracked.

The crack goes from the bottom skirt-through the
lower oil ring grove and up halfway to the third
piston ring.

The crack is located in the middle between the
piston pin holes ...

My 1943 champion 24 volt regulator is not working.
Age has finally taken it´s toll.



The DC generator is working fine and was
overhauled five years ago.

Can the group recommend a more modern regulator.
