'Our Ranger c-5 Fairchild had the following problem:
Installed overhauled magneto's. Engine ran perfect. After 40 minutes in the third flight of the day both started to misfire. Got worse by the minute.
Switching to one magneto did not help, even made things worse.
All temps were normal ...

'After I got my new engine up and running,I installed the Aeromatic
prop which I had bought from Kent Tarver.
After 2 flights I had the prop adjusted.Obviously Kent knows how to
pre-adjust the Aeromatic in his shop for any given airplane.
Difference in performance is dramatic in my opinion ...

'Tom,I called with Dan at Aircraft systems.He told me that gravity
feed the fuel level should be adjusted to 9/16 inch bottom needle to
fuel level.
So you where absolutely right there are two adjustments!
I will let you all know if this cured the problem but I am pretty
