Re: Drag/anti drag wire tensions F24 R46 (UC61K)

'Hello Frank,

The manual T.O. No 01-115CA-3 "Srtructural Repair of C-61 Series Transport Airplanes" page 21 lists the values. If you dont have it I will be glad to send you a copy of the page. You will need a tensiometer which you can calibrate for the thickness of the wire.

Cheers

PT-19 Nose bowl wanted

'All,

for a PT-19 project in Europa we are looking for a nose bowl in
reasonable condition.

Is the part number the same as for a nosebowl from a F24R with 200hp
engine?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Empty Weights of Ranger-powered 24's

'Roger,

Our UC-61K without the military equipment weighs in at approx. 1850
lbs including full oil.

UC-61K and 24R46A are similar.

Re: fuel flow

'Remko,

I am sorry, I only have knowlegde of the Marvel-Schebler carburetor.

Perhaps out there in the Fairchild comunity, some one can provide data
or hints how to get an overhaul manual of the Stromberg NAR-4B carburetor.

Re: fuel flow

'Hello Remko,

What is the type and part number of the carburettor? Stromberg or
Marvel-Schebler?

If it is a Marvel-Schebler there are AD's of importance, especially
the one of the venturi.
