Hi Mahoney
I used these knobs - only problem is they are black. Otherwise the dimensions are the same.

Ranger scavenge pump residual oil
Folks,
I was checking the strainers and magnetic plugs and found about 3+ quarts of oil drained out - mainly from the right hand one. Is this normal or is there anything to worry about?
Many thanks
Frank

Re: 'Searching'
Thanks so much - all I have now searched for came up loud and clear.
I know exactly what you mean by 'So close' to finishing - the gap takes for ever to close!

Any ideas folks - Thanks

F24 exhaust fumes
Folks
I'm getting exhaust fumes in the cabin of my ranger engined UC61K. It has the 3 into 1 stacks also no boot on the tailwheel yet and flying with the ball in the middle. I remember before rebuild it was fine, even without the Tailwheel boot.
Any ideas out there as to where they might be comimg ...

Re: Tripod wood "fairing" attachment
My wooden fairings had a shallow slot- one on each, around them which allowed a soft metal strap with a 'buckle' to be 'countersunk' . These two straps (I cant remember the technical name) were well past their
use-by date so I replaced them with 'TY-Wrap' cable ties.
Have fun removing the metal ...

Re: F24 Max Gross Weight Jacobs
Tony,
I investigated this with regard to my ex military Ranger engined mount.
In military service the MAUW was 2882lbs - heavy troops with parachutes etc. - but when they were civilianised after the war 2562 lbs became the limit - I am not sure whether your Jacobs example would be any different ...

Re: Parking Brake Handle
Bart,
Not sure if you have had it apart but it is a very simple design and should be relatively easy to fix - the photos show how it works.
The little 'Roller' sitting in the groove of the inner rod, attached to the 'Thumb button', is held at the bottom of the 'slope' by the spring. In this ...

Now that my 'Argus' is flying - after 25 years - there are a few niggles that need attention, one of which is the throttle friction which does not exist at the moment.the small rubber doughnut which squeezes the shaft when the friction nut is tightened is past its use by date and has ...
