Re: UC61 (Argus III) fuel tank fittings

'? The earlier 24C8E and F's did not have electric fuel guages but instead had a float guage located on the lower surface of the 20 US gallon tanks. They are located near the centre bottom of each tank close to the front and the guages screw into bosses. They are sometimes referred as Stearman style ...

Re: help with riveting PT-26 elevator trailing edge

'Pete;
Installation looks very similar to 1936 Fairchild 24C8E wing and aileron trailing edges where the factory utilized one long rivet to capture both sides through the rib. The wing ribs being spruce of course and the ailerons of aluminum such as your pictures indicate. If the holes don't align ...

Re: Should I part it out?

'Tom;
Hopefully with the encouragement and a little bit of help we can get you settled in BVS. You helped us several years ago with the cast aluminum foot pegs for our C8E gear legs and it sounds like you could use a hand now. I'm just north of you in White Rock, BC and only a couple of hours away ...

Re: Lack of messages

'Hello Harry,

Re: Lack of messages

'Hello Harry;
I'd be interested in the rudder for my '36 C8E if it's the early style, ie. the rudder horns are half moon shaped. Also require a pair of ailerons, fin fairing, tail wheel strut, and I'm sure some other items. Please let me know if you have and what you wish for them. Thank you ...
