Re: F24 Tail Wheel Assembly
'Richard,
Yours is the same as mine, G-BCBL, which is the standard fit - I got a tyre
from Watts which I think originated from Desser but did not fit the hub I
had which was of some obscure European origin with a Go-kart tyre on it. I
managed to find a serviceable hub in the States for it ...

Re: F24 Lift strut clevis's - install which way?
'Yes, Bob – talking about the front and rear lift struts – Many thanks for volunteering the photos – to my e-mail please as the group photo setup is very long winded.

Re: F24 Lift strut clevis's - install which way?
'Thank you Bob – A great tip for the flap cables – when I stripped the wing for restoration I discovered just what you mentioned and the cable had not only chafed through a rib lace but was well on the way to sawing through a rib diagonal where it had been miss routed. I am intending to use a ‘smart ...

Re: Removing Joystick - F24
'I forgot to mention that my sticks had slots at the bottom that allowed them to slide past/over the pivot bolt for the aileron cable clevis.

Re: Removing Joystick - F24
'I have done exactly what you are setting out to do and have ended up with a neat installation ‘. My sticks are only held in place by the ‘pinch bolts’ and slide out easily - maybe you may have to apply a little persuasion to pry open the ‘clamp’ a little more or perhaps the is some corrosion ...

Re: prop nut drawing
'Thanks David and Emil - 575 ft lbs seems a good compromise - being a retired
navy man do you think I am qualified to swing off the end of a 4ft bar to
remove it later on?

Re: F24 Rear lift struts
' Thank you Bob That makes me feel better – at least there was probably a good reason for them – but they are pretty ‘Gash’ with no thought of having them the same each side. The struts are off to the welder next week after I have cleaned the 5 layers of paint off them. Have a happy Christmas Frank ...
