'Does anyone have drawings for the rotating stand for a Ranger or some photos that will enable me to copy it? I have to strip my engine after being stored for 12 years since rebuild. I think the correct stand will make it easier.
Also I found 4 cam cover studs pulled and 3 nuts only finger tight ...

Ranger mounting pads
'I was fitting my engine to the mount for my UC61K and have noticed that the pads are slightly different. I have 2 where the centre is flush with the top of the rubber and 2 where the centre is below the rubber by 0.1".(see photos in 'Frank Cox' album)

Military F24 UC61K
'When I bought my 'Argus' although it had a C of A there was no data plate or any sign of a serial number stamped on the fuselage frame by either door.
Can any historians amongst us say if these military machines originally came with data plates or any other means of identification?

Tailwheel steering cable attachment - F24 (UC61K)
'Folks,
I am uncertain whether the forward end of the turnbuckles on the tailwheel steering cables need bushes in them where they attach to the rudder cable idlers. None of the publications I have show this area in detail. What think you?
Also no tension is shown for these cables - ideas and/or ...

Re: enlighten me
'Many thanks Bob,
I will be interested to see if it fits - should be in about one month when I start - the dates could be marginal! In the meanwhile I will not check as I'll no doubt be unable to pack it up again. However forewarned is forearmed.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

'Bob,
Can you tell me please when you told A/C Spruce about the wider fuselage and that their older envelopes did not fit.
I bought a set of envelopes for a 'Quick recover job' that are still in the box about 19 years ago! and now, after the ensuing rebuild, am just about ready to cover.

What alloy - Ranger Cam shaft housing?
'Please could a Ranger expert say what alloy the cam shaft housing and cover are made from - I am in a debate as to whether they are aluminum or magnesium alloy. Personally I'm gunning for aluminum - and there is no bet on this one !!
Thanks
