Does anyone know if the new outfit hoping to make Warner 185s from scratch is in business? I can't get a reply from their email or phone.
I'm looking for a original-size piston and rings.
Thanks!'

Warner 185 - Original size Pistons
' Hi, I scored an original cylinder a few years ago, not bored-out, for a Warner 185. But now I need to install it -- the exhaust valve seat cracked in the existing cylinder. I don't have a piston for it. All mine are over-sized. Has anyone got an original-sized piston? Want to trade for one .020 ov...

Carb Air "S" duct
' I should replace the "S" duct in my 185 Warner. It links the exciter tube to the carb air box, and since the 2 things are not aligned, there is a slight "S" shape to the duct that connects them. On mine, it's all chafed to crap. Would anyone have a spare, or know of a way to fa...

Warner Exhaust Ring 165/185 -- Same Size?
'
Does anyone know if the exhaust -- the whole ring assembly -- is the same size in a Warner 165 as a Warner 185? I know the stroke doesn't change for the 2 engines, just the bore, so I'm thinking they are the same.
Would the hole spacing for the head bolts be the same?
Thanks,
Dave'

Fuel Tank drain thread size?
'
Hi, I have a leak from one of the fuel drains in my F-24 tank. Anybody know what the thread size is? It'll save me a trip, and one shot of fuel up my armpit.
Thanks,
Dave'

Warner Carb Overhaul
' Hi, we've just pulled the carb off the Warner 185 on my F-24W. It probably hasn't been off since 1972. It's a Holley 419. The air box is weird. There are 2 flapper valves before the main butterfly in the carb throat. These valves are for carb heat. When heat is selected HOT, the one in the main in...

Aeromatic Prop?
' Looking for testimonials -- I have the option of purchasing an Aeromatic prop for the Warner on my Fairchild 24W. It's not cheap, by any means. But I've been living with a lower than optimal takeoff RPM since I bought the aircraft in 2008. The current prop is a Sensenich wooden unit. The engine i...
