'What is the popular fluid to use in the brake system for the PT-19.
The brake reservoir is about half full and the fluid is colorless but
doesn't smell the same as the Dot 3 fluid that is in the landing gear
struts. The Old Army maintenance CD calls it "hydraulic brake fluid"
bit it's not ...

'For those who know. On the PT-19 what is the fluid that is used to
service the landing gear struts. The maintenance video i have (from
WWII) say a vegetable based oil similar to what is used in the braking
system but my fluid in the struts doesn't look red?

(two cases at a time and shipping was free at OSH). I've noticed that
the engine burns less, and less drips onto my hangar floor than the
Aeroshell 120. You can order it off the web site which will direct you

Yes, still have the "Old Grey Fox" It's perpetually for sale, had a
few guys look and want it but no money. flying weather is still great
but enjoying the HD more right now. Gas prices are starting to depress
me and can get there as fast on the HD. Running Mo-gas in the HD and
not ...
