'John,
I am also interested in what a member did to resolve radio static on his
PT-26 with a Ranger. Please send this information to ME too.
Thanks

Re: Ranger Engine Mag P-Leads
'Hello,
I hope someone who REALLY knows, will reply to your question. If they
don't, I believe that NO shielding wire should ever be grounded on BOTH ends
of the wire. Doing so, makes the shielding an antenna for stray electrical
noise, which is exactly opposite of what you are trying to do by ...

Re: F24 oleo packing?
'Bruce and Bob,
I also have a 24-K and I am interested in what you find out -- both in
size and cost. I currently have a Teflon packing material in mine. It
seems to work (holds DOT-5 silicone) but may be interested in purchasing a
new material, just in case.
Please post your results to ...

Closely read Tom's reply. He did NOT say that he sent the Installation
manual with the paperwork. He said "...I used the phrase in block 8 of the
337 --- Installed In Accordance With the King installation manual number ##,
dated xx,xx,xx.". If you did NOT include that statement on your ...

Re: Brakes again
'Wallace,
One cause of excessive brake drag, is poor springs located between the pads.
Another cause is partial blockage of the vent hole in the master cylinder.
The vent hole in the cylinder is located under the protective 'tab' that you
can see when you remove the filler plug, and look ...

Re: Fairchild emblems on shirts and stuff
'Tom Downey,
I ordered a Tee Shirt and a Sweat Shirt from them. They came right away.
The quality is fantastic. I am more than pleased. You had a GREAT idea,
and it was implemented in grand style.

'Norbert,
You said "There is a ground strap from the case of each mag". I don't have
any ground strap on my mags. Just for a test, I suggest that you remove
those straps. If there is no change, you could reattach them.
You said "The engine had two straps to the engine mount". I would make ...

Re: master Cylinder kits
'Frank,
The Fairchild master cylinder is the same as used in an early Chrysler
automobile (about a 1937 Plymouth). It was produced by an automotive
supplier and a rebuild kit can be purchased new today as Wagner brake kit
#3630. NAPA probably sells them. You cannot use the Wagner piston, cause ...

'Norbert,
You might consider putting a pair of ten foot, two by twelves under the main
gear. You could set them into the dirt floor, such that they slope a little
towards the door, that way you would be winching the airplane uphill, and it
would more easily roll out, downhill.
Just a ...

'Bob Webster,
In your note, you said "> I did receive a note from my last attempt at this
from John Casner saying that Bill Sprigs has made a casting that cured the
problem. I am assuming that it is a casting of a shorter trailing link.
