Fond Memories. Mine would blow perfect smoke rings. But it never quit. Never did find out what caused it. When I received my Cadet class date I sold it to a Major in the maintenance sqdn and told him about it. Could buy a new Engine in the crate for a couple of hundred. He didn't worry about it ...

Aircraft. (I worked in Wright Aero Engineering Dept.) Through contacts

considered short stacks.

One day I asked a ground crew why he was in such a hurry to put the
plugs in the exhaust holes on our F 51s and he told me it was to keep
the ex valves from fast cooling and prevent warp ...
