As an old IA I’m not working on our KR yet but As with many things in our old aircraft, most of the supplies/technology comes from other cores. The brass nails are ‘ring nails’. Or ‘glue nails’ (the heat of driving them melts the glue and adds adhesion). These all come from boat building. You might ...

Something you might want to look into. A few years back (about 2005 ) I was working on and annualed Kurt Wein’s Ranger powered Widgeon. It had drilled cranks and light weight Hartzel props on it.
