Re: WTB: Exhaust flange...

Found the stack drawings and it appears that the Ranger part number is for a blank flange for the exhaust stacks. Looks like I'll have to generate the flange drawing from scratch.

Re: WTB: Exhaust flange...

Zeke: Looks like that part number is probably a bare flange blank, with no holes. Doesn't show in the books I have. I do have the stack drawings on film and will dig them out the next trip to the library for scanning.

Re: WTB: Exhaust flange...

I think they are. I'll have to pull the 6 cyl book to verify.

I screwed up and somehow when I did this post the first time, it said that it was successfully reported...

WTB: Exhaust flange...

Looking for a #6300 exhaust flange. Doesn't need to be airworthy, just complete and in reasonable condition. Need it for measurements to fabricate at least 24 for my AT project. The V770 used modified 6300's and I need one to do the print to machine them. I have the print that modifies them, but ...

Re: Some old info about F-24R N77665

N77665 is currently showing to be owned by someone else, based in Arlington, Tx. Latest photo that I found was 2023, showing the same paint scheme as your photo.

Drop the N number in the search box here for what appears to be the current owner and address.

Re: Tailwheel Axle Bolt

Ray: Unfortunately the IPB's just give an internal code for a number of the tailwheel parts. There is a reference in the books, that states that there were various suppliers for each size wheel and tire and tube. Mike Kelly might have some reference somewhere that can translate that code into ...

Re: Tailwheel Axle Bolt

Ray: What are you working on? For the PT series, there were 3 different tailwheels used, depending on serial number.

Re: Policy changes due to spam

Thanks Brian, A couple of other boards I'm on have had to do the whack-a-mole thing and ended up going to a blanket, unwritten/unvoiced policy of moderating the first 5 to 10 posts of new members. Those that played nice, were dropped off the moderation list at the minimum and those that were ...

Re: PT-26 Paint Color

Greg: You need to dig into the log for your aircraft and see if there is any paint info in there. There are dozens of different paints that could have been used and not all are top coat compatible.
